Privacy Policy

The Registry processes personal data with the same rigour it requires of its members. This notice describes how information is collected, used, retained, and protected, in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

Data Controller

The World Registry of Certified Financial Educators, Traders & Institutions, Traders & Institutions (WRCFET) acts as Data Controller for all personal information processed through this website, the membership application system, and the public directory. The Secretariat may be contacted at secretariat@wrcfet.org for any privacy-related request.

Categories of Data Processed

We process: (a) identification data (name, photograph, professional title); (b) contact data (email, telephone, postal address); (c) credentialing data (qualifications, licence numbers, jurisdictions of practice); (d) navigation data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected through technical cookies; (e) any document voluntarily submitted in the application or disciplinary processes.

Purposes and Legal Basis

Personal data is processed to: evaluate membership applications (contractual necessity); maintain and publish the public directory of certified members (legitimate interest of the public to verify credentials and consent of the member); ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics (legitimate interest); respond to enquiries (consent); fulfil legal obligations (statutory).

Public Directory

Members expressly authorise the publication of their professional profile (name, country, level, registry number, specialisations, biography) in the public registry available at /albo. Sensitive personal data, contact details, and supporting documents are never published.

Data Retention

Application data is retained for the duration of membership plus ten years for archival and disciplinary continuity. Navigation data is retained for thirteen months. Data of revoked members is anonymised in the public directory but archived internally for institutional record-keeping.

Data Sharing

Personal data is never sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. Limited disclosures may occur to: regulatory or judicial authorities upon lawful request; technical providers strictly bound by data-processing agreements (hosting, email, anti-fraud); members of the Disciplinary Commission under confidentiality.

Rights of Data Subjects

Each subject has the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port their personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Requests must be addressed to secretariat@wrcfet.org and are processed within thirty days. A complaint may also be lodged with the competent supervisory authority.

This website uses only technical and functional cookies necessary for navigation, language selection, and session integrity. No profiling, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies are deployed. Detailed information is available in the dedicated Cookie notice.

International Transfers

Where data must be transferred outside the European Economic Area, the Registry adopts Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and verifies adequate technical and organisational safeguards.

Updates

This Privacy Policy may be revised to reflect regulatory or operational changes. The current version is dated MMXXIV and supersedes all prior editions. Material amendments are notified to members through the institutional channels.
